Principal's Message

Welcome to Magnolia School!

Latonia GreenWelcome Back Mustang Families!

I am thrilled to welcome you back to the 2021-22 school year. As the very proud principal of Magnolia School, I am honored to lead this community of committed and dedicated professionals towards the ultimate goal of student achievement, student preparedness, and student wellness. As a team, we celebrated the successful completion of our first year in the new building, and were extremely pleased with the level of meaningful work-related experiences that we were able to create for our student population! Our state of the art facility has indeed changed the landscape in providing Community Based Vocational Education(CBVE) services to ESE students. Though the last school year presented many uncertainties and transitions for our students, we maintained a high bar of expectations for success, and our students responded by making the necessary adjustments and stepping up to the plate!

We spent the summer months at Magnolia facilitating Extended School Year(ESY) Services and the Loss of Skills(LOS) program on our campus, while working hard to plan for a safe and seamless opening. We also welcomed our neighbors at the Silver Pines Academy to our campus. They spent the summer months moving into their new building and we have enjoyed the collaborations of being “two schools on one campus.”

Moving forward, our mission continues to include leading students to the highest level of independence regarding their education, employment, and community involvement, in order to enhance their quality of life. We strive to ensure that our students are well prepared to meet their graduation requirements via the ACCESS Points Curriculum, and that they are well-positioned to experience positive post-secondary outcomes. The Magnolia Priorities of enhancing student achievement, developing instructional experts, technology integration, enhancing climate and culture, and building strong cohesive teams continues to provide the framework for our core business.

We recognize that the key to reaching our goals is grounded in collaborative partnerships between parents, community partners, and school staff, so we want to thank our Magnolia families for entrusting us with the education of your student(s). We are anticipating another incredible and productive school year!

Ms. Latonia Green
