Meet our Principal, Mr. Tim Shuler

Mr. Tim Shuler is a native Floridian originally from Titusville, Florida, where he graduated from Titusville High School in 1981. He later attended Stetson University located in Deland, Florida where he earned a Bachelor’s degree (Education) in 1986. He continued his educational pursuits at Nova Southeastern University where he obtained a Master’s Degree (Varying Exceptionalities) in 2002 and Educational Specialist Degree (Educational Leadership) in 2006.

Mr. Shuler began his educational career in The School District of Osceola County in 1995 as an alternative education teacher at the Adolescent Residential Center (ARC), where he spent two years as a Varying Exceptionalities instructor who taught both math and science. He also served as a co-lead teacher at ARC before accepting a position with Orange County Public Schools.

Over the next nine years, Mr. Shuler served as a varying exceptionalities teacher, art teacher and dean at Maynard Evans High School and received both the McFadden Memorial and Teacher of the Year awards. Mr. Shuler also supported Jones High School for a year as an Assistance Plus Coordinator, interpreting, reviewing and facilitating effective collaboration between the district and State of Florida in the area of school improvement.

Over the next fifteen years, Mr. Shuler served as assistant principal at Silver Star Center, Edgewater High School and West Orange High School before accepting the role as Principal at the Magnolia School. Throughout his educational experiences, Mr. Shuler has worked with a diverse group of school and community stakeholders to meet the common goal of increasing student achievement and leading students to success.

He has a passion to serve and influence students while standing firm in his belief that all students can learn where there is effective leadership, instruction, parental involvement and community engagement. He is a proud resident of Winter Garden, Florida since 2001 and is married to a wonderful educator. They have two beautiful children. He loves to attend church, read, play golf, and attend sporting events.
